Its innovative Flex-Tip features high-powered rotating spray, suction, and 270° articulation - enabling access for direct saline irrigation and fluid removal from sinus mucosal surfaces. This sinusitis treatment can be used in the operating room during endoscopic sinus surgery or in the office and is intended to disrupt and remove bacteria from the paranasal sinuses. In vitro research shows that the Hydrodebrider treatment is more effective at disrupting bacterial communities than saline lavage.¹³

Why the Hydrodebrider Is Better than Traditional Nasal Lavage: Power and access. Research shows traditional nasal lavage performed by patients does not reach all areas of the sinuses and is less effective at removing bacteria than powered irrigation.¹³ The Hydrodebrider's rotating spray enables direct irrigation of all surfaces of the paranasal sinus.

In addition, laboratory studies have shown that the spray from the Hydrodebrider is much more powerful than a traditional saline rinse and better able to dislodge bacteria,¹³ while still being safe to the sensitive ciliated epithelium.
